Certified Group Fitness Instructor
Hi! My name is Taryn Barnett. I’m a wife, a mom to Deacon and Nolan, and someone who truly believes in the power of family, friendship and fitness. I love spending time with my family, camping, coaching little league and working out with my fitness family. Fitness has become so much more than exercise for me- it has been a source of strength, healing, and connection. In 2021, I experienced unimaginable loss, and through my grief, I discovered that working out helps me work through the hard days. It helps me manage my anger, fear and anxiety and gives me a place to clear my mind, find my strength, and feel like myself again. There really is something to the saying that exercise releases endorphins and makes you happier!
Fitness Now was introduced to me by a member, and I quickly found a place where I belonged. From the amazing group fitness classes and top-notch open gym to the friendships I’ve made along the way, Fitness Now has become a very special part of my life. What started as a place to work out has become a community and a group of friends, I’m incredibly grateful for. I recently became a Certified Group Fitness Instructor (CGFI), and I’m excited to share my energy, encouragement, and passion with others. If I can help someone walk into class on a hard day and leave feeling stronger, happier, and a little more like themselves, then I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. Remember, we are all stronger than we think; sometimes it just takes a push from someone who cares to help us get there.
